Our favourite track from ill peach’s new EXCUSE US WHILE WE FIND OUR MINDS EP is the closing track ‘UP UP AND AWAY’. The duo have a talent for creating music which is basically inimitable. Their dirty distorted synth sounds have a way of reminding you of the likes of Royksopp, but pop melodies and infectious groove takes ill peach one step further. On the four-track EP as a whole, they explain: “They weren’t necessarily meant to live together, but when we put them in the same room we realized a common thread. The songs are just different versions of us just trying to find our place in this world.” Be sure to give the whole thing a listen. -Dan Peeke
